On 10/29/2025 at approximately 0325 hours, I was dispatched to I-75 northbound, exit 188, in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, I made contact with a Greyhound bus driver, Mr. [WITNESS #1].
Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that one of his passengers, identified as Mr. Jason Prince, was causing a disturbance on the bus by refusing to move to his assigned seat, placing his luggage in the walkway, and being argumentative and disorderly.
While speaking with Mr. [WITNESS #1], Mr. Prince exited the bus and began yelling at him. Both Corporal Manning and I instructed Mr. Prince to walk toward the front of our patrol vehicle in order to separate the two. Mr. Prince refused and continued yelling at Mr. [WITNESS #1]. At that time, I approached Mr. Prince and instructed him to place his hands behind his back. Mr. Prince was then placed in handcuffs, which were double-locked and checked for proper fit.
During this time, I detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from Mr. Prince. He was escorted and placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle. I then conducted a search of Mr. Prince’s belongings due to the odor of marijuana, during which I discovered he was in possession of drug-related objects, raw marijuana, and THC wax.
I returned to Mr. Prince and informed him that he was being placed under arrest. I also informed him that THC wax is a felony in the State of Georgia and that he could not be in possession of it.
Mr. Prince was then escorted to the Monroe County Detention Center without incident.
Charges:
Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce (approximately 6–7 grams)
Possession of Drug-Related Objects
Possession of THC Wax
Disorderly Conduct
