On 07/15/2025 at approximately 11:16 I, Deputy Stanley, was dispatched to Farmers Furniture for a possible domestic. I arrived on scene, and the store had to be unlocked. They advised they were scared the male later identified as Thomas Silvers would find the victim and shoot up the store. I observed a white female sitting in the store identified as [VICTIM #1] with several bruises on her body in different stages of healing. I asked if she wanted to walk to one of the rooms in the back of the store. She stated we could sit in her office. I called Cpl. Hughes to be en-route to my location.
I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] what happened today. She stated it all started around 5:30 this date. She stated Mr. Silvers was out all night, and came home yelling at her. She stated he was accusing her of having things inside of her. She stated that went back and forth for a min till Mr. Silvers smacked her in the face with an open hand. She stated he then grabbed her around the neck with both hands. I asked if she could breathe at this time. She stated yes. She stated they went back and forth and Mr. Silvers was able to get her on the ground. She stated that’s when he used his forearm to hold her down, and that’s when she was scared the most. She stated he had his arm on her throat and she could not breathe. She stated all she could think was get off the floor. She stated she tried crawling away from him, and that’s where the scratches on her arm came from. She stated she was able to get away and have the landlord come over. The landlord was able to separate them for Ms. [VICTIM #1] to leave.
I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] how long they have been together. She stated three years, and it just keeps getting worse. I asked about the other bruises and she stated the large one on her thigh is from when he hit her with a gun the week prior to this date. She stated she has never called the police in the past, but she is scared he is going to really hurt her. While I was speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1] Mr. Silvers called her repeatedly and texted her. I asked if she knew where he was. She stated he said chicken houses. I asked if he has any guns on him right now. She stated he has her 9mm Taurus and knows he owns others. I asked if he was a convicted felon. She stated yes.
Cpl. Hughes and I asked her to answer the phone and see if we could find out where he was. He would not tell her, and he accused her of being with another man due to her not wanting to face time. I advised he would go check the chicken houses, and for her to call if she was able to get a better location. I provided her with a vine card, and asked if I could take pictures. She stated yes. I observed scratches on her left arm, a red hand print on her face, marks on her neck, and I took a picture of the bruises that was on her thigh.
