[NARRATIVE #1 on August 05, 2025]
On 08/05/25 around 0015 hrs. I (Cpl. White) along with Sgt. Blaylock, Deputy Healy and Cpl. Weaver responded to the incident location in reference to a report of a subject being shot. I responded emergency lights and siren.
While en route dispatch advised responding units as they were able to gather available information that they were being told by the complainants ([WITNESS #1] & [WITNESS #2]) that a female/victim [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been shot by possibly a subject named Coulter Reece. Dispatch explained that they were being told that Coulter possibly still had a firearm on him and was in the woods around the residence. When all responding units arrived my body camera as well as the camera for car #724 was activated.
I walked up the driveway with the other deputies and was met by [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] began explaining to Sgt. Blaylock what happened and advised that [REDACTED], who had been shot twice was inside of the residence. [WITNESS #1] added that he believed Coulter, his brother was the suspect who shot her and was outside in the woods somewhere and was still armed with possibly a .22 handgun.
[WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] began to give an inital account that they along with the listed juvenile children were at the residence and [REDACTED] had came by to visit. They advised that [REDACTED] was outside on the front porch and she came running into the house screaming that she had been shot. She advised that she had been talking to Coulter on the phone at the time and they believed that he shot her from somewhere close by in the woods.
While [WITNESS #1] was explaining this, Cpl. Weaver, Deputy Healy and I began to set up a perimeter at the residence to be able to secure the scene. Sgt. Blaylock requested the on call investigator be contacted. Sgt. Blaylock also was able to make contact with Capt. Shepard as well as Chief Smith to brief them on the incident. I asked Sgt. Blaylock if she believed the scene was secured enough for EMS to come in to retrieve [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and she advised she did not believe so. Sgt. Blaylock and I began to explain to [WITNESS #1] that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was going to have to come outside and we would escort her to a patrol vehicle to be able to secure her to get her to an ambulance due to EMS not being able to enter an unsecured scene.
Sgt. Blaylock retrieved [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Cpl. Weaver, Deputy Healy and I establised a perimeter around Sgt. Blaylock and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to escort them safely to Sgt. Blaylock’s patrol vehicle. Once [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was safe inside of the patrol vehicle Sgt. Blaylock was able to drive [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to meet MED #1 away from the incident location for her medical needs. Cpl. Weaver, Deputy Healy and I were able to reestablish the perimeter at the residence until more personel arrived to assist.
Shortly after Sgt. Blaylock arrived back at the scene and at the request for assistance by Sgt. Blaylock, Sgt. McClure and Ofc. Young from Ellijay P.D. arrived at the scene to assist. While at the scene we were able to get assistance with a drone from Gilmer Fire & Rescue to help with locating any subjects in the woods. Deputy Healy was able to get witness statements started as well as passing out a victim’s pamphlet while obtaining all parties information that was at the scene. While at the scene, Det. Sippel as well as other detectives and CSU Deputies Perigo & Scott arrived to assist. Once Chief Smith, Capt. Shepard and on call Det. Sippel had arrived on the scene, the incident was then turned over to them for further investigation of the incident.

[NARRATIVE #2 on August 07, 2025]
On August 7, 2025 at approximately 1405 hours, I Deputy First Class Scott Camp #516 employed with Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office and assigned to Uniform Patrol Division was contacted by Pickens County Deputy Wofford by text to call him. I called Deputy Wofford. Deputy Wofford stated they arrested Coulter Reece and would like to meet two deputies at the Gilmer/Pickens line.
I along with Sgt. Robinson traveled to the Gilmer/Pickens line non-emergency. We arrived on scene and placed a set of shackles on Coulter’s legs. We then exchanged handcuffs and handcuffed Coulter behind his back. Sgt. Robinson checked the handcuffs and shackles for proper fit and the double locked them.
I then walked Coulter to my patrol vehicle. I searched Coulter and then placed him in the back seat of my patrol vehicle. I placed the seatbelt on Coulter. I told Coulter that a Gilmer County detective wanted to speak with him and would he be willing to speak with that detective. Coulter told me no.
I then transported Coulter to Gilmer County Detention Center giving dispatch my beginning and ending mileage. I arrived at the detention center and completed a pre-booking form. I then turned Coulter over to the detention staff. I checked my backseat for contraband and nothing was located during the search.
