On April 24, 2025 I, Deputy Rebecca Scott #555 working for Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office, was dispatched to [4800 BLOCK] Clear Creek Road in reference to an assualt that took placed eariler. I responded code one, no lights or sirens.
When I arrived to the residence, I met with the complaintant, Mrs. [WITNESS #1], who stated she picked up her friend’s niece from her house. We walked inside to speak with the niece, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated her uncle, Mr. Seth Amyx, touched her inappropriatly. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has been living with her aunt and uncle since last November. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated her and her uncle went hiking earlier, when she complained of her legs hurting he offered to massage them. He began to rub her on her calves, then move up her legs to her back while she laid on her stomach. He ran his hands up her shorts touching her buttocks, then turned her over to her back. He began rubbing her on the front, touching her v*gina area over her shorts, then rubbing her breast under her shirt. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she was confused and did not know what to do or say. She stated she just looked at the tv trying to focus on the show and not make eye contact with him. He asked her to rub his shoulders and then his legs, he already removed his shirt and shorts. When she was rubbing his lower legs, he took her hand and moved it under his boxers on his hips. She then moved her hand back to his thigh and stopped.
Mr. Amyx asked her to take off her shirt, when she questioned it he then removed her shirt which she had no bra on. He bear hugged her, pulling her down to lay down with him. He asked her if she was horny, she replied she didn’t know. He told her to look at him, he kissed her on the lips a few times with tounge and without. He grabbed her legs wrapping them around his waist, he began grinding her v*gina area against his p*nis while they still had shorts and underware on. He stopped and asked her if she thought they went too far. She stated, “yeah, maybe”, he then stated maybe they should just finish the show on tv. She got up and put her clothes back on while he went to the restroom.
She then called her aunt, [WITNESS #2], who was away on a business trip in Tennessee. She explained what happened to her aunt who got very upset. She told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to go to her room and stay in there until she called her back. According to [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Ms. [WITNESS #2] then called Mr. Amyx and told him to leave the residence or she would call the police. Mrs. [WITNESS #2] called her friend Mrs. [WITNESS #1] to come pick [REDACTED BY AGENCY] up to take her to her residence.
I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if this has ever happened before, she stated he has massaged her once before a few weeks ago. She stated he started rubbing her at the bottom of her legs then went up her body on the back then went down on her front. He mentioned to her not to tell her aunt because she will make this something that it is not.
I placed a phone call to CID Detective Kirk Champion about the incident. After hearing the details he advised me to get them to call in the morning to CID to set up an interview time. He wants them to come in for a face to face interview to go over her statement. I advised him that they mentioned Mr. Amyx left the residence and are not sure where he went. He did mention to the aunt that he has left the state but she is not sure she believes him.
I gave Mrs. [WITNESS #1] a victim’s pamphlet with the case number to give to Mrs. [WITNESS #2].
